Plant-based beauty brand goes from healthful to haute as the fresh face in clean cosmetology.
Client: Astra Botanic is a breakthrough vegan supplement and beauty brand that deals in direct-trade powders and from-plant products for women. Astra Botanic was created to provide sustainable, organic, and direct-trade quality powders, creams and topical pigments for whole-body, healthful beauty. They recently pivoted their products to break into “clean beauty” cosmetology.
Case: Astra is boho, crunchy, green, and unprocessed, and as the new brand on the “clean beauty” block, they wanted to stand apart from an over-saturated market of granola, organic products with a brand that felt polished, elegantly stylized, and customer appropriate.
Their vision is to replace big-brand, toxic CPG beauty products with products made from plant-only, minimal ingredients. With a big vision, they needed a brand with a refined essence and versatile presence. They had both a beauty and botanics line already out of R&D and ready for customer face time, and needed a look that would launch them onto the shelves of the next 100 luxury retail stores.
Result: We created a high-end, modular brand system to support the launch of Astra Botanic products. The iconic character of their bold logotype formed the crux of the new brand. With an organic twist on art-deco decorative elements, we applied clean elegance to multiple brand touch-points, including their website, business suite, retail pitch deck, packaging and digital media rollout.
